Our Little Girl

Pin It Since we have two boys we decided we better see what it would be like if we had a girl. We also tried it out on my two nephews.

A Day with the Grandparents!

Pin It It was Grandpa Bartlett's birthday on Monday and Justin and I went to see him and Grandma in Traverse City. Justin's other Grandma was there as well so we got to spend time with both in one visit.
I just have to say... Grandparents are such a blessing. They have so much to teach us and they love us so much. I want my kids to spend as much time as possible with their Grandparents and Great-Grandparents. I want to be more honoring of my elders and let them know how important they are to our family. That was what I was challenged with by our visit.

One wedding down

Pin It Before I begin... a slight side note. My "delete" button is right next to the "enter" button on my keyboard. I have deleted these top two pictures twice... it is hard to put into words my frustration.
Anyway, we had a wedding last weekend. My baby sister. What a beautiful day. She could not have married a better man. He is sweet, loves the Lord and loves to hang out with our family. Every time Justin and I go to a wedding it does something special for our marriage. It is a little reminder of the vows we took to each other and the sweetness of the Lord's plan for marriage. Here are a few pictures from the special day.

Memorial Day

Pin It We had a great memorial day last week. We planted our community garden with David and Julia and the boys mowed the lawn. We headed over to my mom and dad's at 3:00 to help with wedding prep, which was s blast because all of my sisters and there families where there. It was just nice to have a morning at home with my husband and boys. Julia and David and Justin and I had a picnic outside by our garden and life just felt slow for a minute. I love that feeling.

1 year old!

Pin It Where does time go? Spencer was a year old on Friday. We had a party with the grandparents and my oldest sister Sarah and her husband Chris. Their son John Paul is 9 days younger then Spence. They love to play together and I am anticipating all the adventures they will have as they grow up.

Bachelorette and Bachelor Parties

Pin It With only a week until "Wedding Night" we had both the Bachelorette party and Bachelor party last weekend. The girls went putt putt golfing and out to dinner, followed by some lovely gifts for Alisa. The boys went paint balling and had a wild game dinner, followed by hitting golf balls over the pond. Both Justin and I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends within our family. We both had so much fun with lots of laughs and memories.

He is Here!

Pin It Our little dream was born on May14 at 6:06. Jackson Silas Bartlett. He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches long. Spencer was 6 lb 14 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. They look a lot alike... both identical to their dad's baby pictures. Jackson may have a few different features, but we will keep you posted as he changes in the next few weeks. Spence doesn't seem to care that there is a baby in dad or mom's arms at all times. He just crawls on the next best thing. It is so amazing to be at home with both of the boy's. Our family is growing and it is so neat to see what God has decided to give us. You always imagine having a family, but it is very surreal as it starts to form with each new child.
The labor and delivery went very well. Although, if you had asked me that on the 14th my answer may have sounded different. In hindsight, I couldn't have asked for it to go any better. I had an epidural with Spencer and I was not going to be able to with Jackson because I was having the baby in Cadillac, which has a smaller hospital and doesn't have the ability to do epidurals 24/7. So I was a little nervous... to say the least. BUT I got to the hospital at 5:00 and the baby was born an hour later so we didn't even have a chance for pain meds. I must say that I feel a hundred times better after this birth. Yes, it killed, but the recovery time is nothing. I felt like I could have run a marathon right after.
So... I guess you want to see some pictures. Here are a few and we will put more on in a few days.
